Job Description

Guardian is looking to reinforce its Marketing team in Africa and Middle East with a Market Research Analyst. In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting marketing and commercial teams in translating macro data and trends onto regional and zonal realities to improve predictability, maintaining and improving customer segmentation, building Point of views that will help capture best opportunities,
  • Coordinating and conducting various market research activities. These activities include, but are not limited to, customer surveys, analysis of internal market data, define/acquire external research, analysis of import/export statistics, and collecting/analyzing data from digital media.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Guardian AME research reports and databases: coordinate collections of market data to improve the strategic decision-making process
  • Digital resources: compile competitive or customer data (websites, Twitter, Facebook, etc..)
  • Import & export data: analyze import & export data to assess product flows and market demand
  • Competitive information: maintains a database of competitive production info (plant locations, utilization, capabilities, etc..) & Gathers and competitive product comparison
  • Customer feedback tools: provide insights to the business and indicate potential factors affecting product demand by segment
  • Point of View: own different point of view exercises in cooperation with other stakeholders
  • Predictability: Help pricing, sales, and operations planning to better understand sub-regional demand and supply situation

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Experienced analyst having demonstrable experience in leading analytical projects
  • Bachelor’s / master’s degree in a relevant field (business analytics, marketing) or relevant work-related experience
  • Strong and effective communication and negotiation skills (with internal and external customers)
  • Financial literacy
  • Fluent in English and Arabic are a must, French would be considered as an advantage

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experienced Analyst with a background in costing, customer, and marketing analytics
  • Knowledge of the construction market sector in AME
  • Experience in developing advanced analytics such as customer segmentation and propensity models
