Job Description
- Ensure that accurate and complete accounting, reporting and internal control systems are functioning and that all relevant records are maintained, and ensure that all expenditures are in line with organization policies and financial rules and regulations.
- Provide authoritative interpretation of requirements for handling transactions, and respond to internal/external audit observations and oversight functions.
- Review, analyze and support the finalization of budgets for project proposals as well as for project and budget revisions in line with MEK and donor requirements and provide guidance to program staff in the development of budgets .
- Check bills, invoices, and other supporting documents before payments to ensure the completeness of the documents, approval with clear and specific charging notes.
- Prepare correspondence on own initiative to verify data, address and answer queries and follow-up as necessary with MEK and external donor.
- Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management
Job Requirements
- B.Sc. in Accounting.
- 3-5 Years of experience (Construction Background)
- Construction background is a must.
- Excellent Excel and computer skills
