Job Description
- The chosen candidate will be responsible for all product design activities of including communication with the customer and suppliers as well as the release and qualification of components.
- Ensure that s/he completes the design to budget and target date.
- The work also involves the evaluation of complex factors requiring knowledge of technical specifications, validations and design verifications
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent. The degree should also include modules in basic electrical engineering.
- At least 2 years experience in fields such as
- Design and manufacture of components for the distribution of electric power, and/or Injection moulding and/or Metal stamping
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and general mechanical engineering analysis.
- A hands-on role in product design requiring an engineering background,
- Good organizational skills, a disciplined approach and project leadership skills.
- Experience in CAD packages like Creo.
