Job Description

If you answered YES, this is the job for you! The Early Childhood Teacher is responsible for coordinating the daily operations of assigned classes. This position will plan, present and evaluate educational and recreational activities for children in a safe environment. This position will work directly with children and parents on a daily basis providing quality customer service.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Responsibles of child care programming; recreation and its application; safety and emergency first-aid procedures; program management; and customer service principles.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
  • Appropriately and patiently interacts with children and adults of all ages, handles children and adults on a one on one basis or in crowds of large quantities, while maintaining audience control.
  • Plans and instructs daily/weekly age appropriate activities for children to include but not limited to indoor/outdoor games, crafts, sports, fitness, drama, music, science, math, reading & cooking.
  • Visually and audibly supervise children in a variety of situations.
  • Work productively without supervision within established organizational policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Psychology or Special Education. OR Associate’s degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education and six (6) months of verified experience working with children in a child development program.
  • Familiarity with CPR, First Aid, and Standard Precautions.
  • Well-organized and detail oriented.
  • Fluency in English with an exceptional communication and writing skills.
  • Creative mind.
  • Must be highly motivated and take direction well with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possess a professional and welcoming demeanor.
  • Presentable, and good looking.
