Job Description
he role of the Quarry Manager is to direct and oversee quarry operations. This includes safety and risk management, production, maintenance, sales, and personnel. The scope of the Quarry Manager’s role can vary greatly, depending on the size and nature of the organisation.
- Achievement of extraction targets (volume, quality and cost)
- Timeliness of extraction process
- Life cycle of quarry
- Accuracy and thoroughness of geological analysis
- Minimization of raw material stock and efficient utilization of reserves
- Compliance with environmental standards
- Compliance with licensing regulations and legislation
Job Requirements
- University degree in geology or mining.
- 10 to 15 years of hands-on experience in quarries operations.
- Good technical knowledge of the quarry operations
- Experience in extraction planning and methodologies
- Exposure to geological and mining analysis methodologies
- Knowledge of the cement production operations
- Flexible and innovative personality
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and conceptual thinking
- Ability to set priorities and organise tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently
- Fluency in English
- PC literacy
