Job Description
Senior Budget specialist develops, installs, and modifies accounting systems, records, methods, and procedures. Recommends and evaluates changes or enhancements to financial management systems and policies. Assists in assuring that Budget Office records and processes are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Coordinates accounting matters with other departments, divisions, and campuses. Develops and/or recommends accounting methods and procedures as needed.
- Participate in Budget Planning, controlling, and analyzing the budget report.
- Evaluate budget against actual performance, prepares forecasts, and analyze trends for business units.
- Prepare the monthly/quarterly/yearly analysis reports.
- Participate in preparing feasibility studies for new projects.
- Prepare cost analysis, with recommendations to management for final decision-making.
- Manage day-to-day activities as related to specific budget areas.
- Perform additional duties as required, including the duties of other staff positions in the office.
Job Requirements
Education and Expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree with major/focus in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or business administration.
- 3-5 years experience in same field.
- Generally accepted accounting principles.

Work Environment:
- Working Days: 5 days/week.
- Days Off: 2 days (Fridays & Saturdays)
- Working Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30pm
