Job Description

  • Oversee the operations of all accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts receivable, Treasury, Fixed Assets, Month-end accruals, and provisions.
  • Responsible for year-end closing and the preparation of the monthly financial statements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end management financial reports.
  • Review and approve all payment transactions: reimbursements, payments on accounts, vouchers, checks, etc.
  • Handles year-end-closing and monthly financial statements.
  • Review balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Liaise with external government institutions and act as the main contact for internal and external audits.
  • Respond to all queries related to financial matters.
  • Recommend and draft financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the accounting manual up to date and ensure the adherence to the manual and all policies and procedures.
  • Review and approve journal vouchers.
  • Reviews, investigates and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Coordinate the accurate and timely payment of suppliers.
  • Assist in the preparation of yearly budgets.
  • Administer all balance sheet accounts reconciliations.
  • Act as the point of contact for queries related to employee and supplier payments.
  • Reviews account payables and weekly check runs.
  • Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits.
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts, cost centers and documents business transactions.
  • Responsible for distributing financial statements and cost center reports.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance Management.

Experience Requirements

  • Experience in creating a budget, accounting guidelines, end of year accounts, and external liaison with auditors.
  • 5-7 years at least in the Supervisory level, background in Hospitality, International Restaurant is a MUST.

  • Working knowledge of computer, especially accounting/spreadsheet related software and tools
  • Managed the financial reporting, consolidation and financial analysis process to ensure that the firm financial information is accurate, methodic, timely and meets business needs.
  • Advise the top level management with regards to finance, management, staffing and other service issues and procedures
  • Directed the financial end to end processes of the company: Annual WP, bi quarterly business forecasts and actual results.
  • Led and directed the financial planning for the organization, including business operations and forecasting the business financial results.
  • Involved in Business Development activities to develop financial models for sales and marketing initiatives and pricing strategies.

Languages:

  • Good written, spoken and read English
  • Very Good User of (ERP) Systems.
