The compact is seeking a full-time emerging professional Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our office in New Cairo. The ideal candidates will have strong electrical design and construction skills. We are looking for team players who are excited about working in an innovation-rich construction environment focused on introducing novel approaches to construction.

What Does This Role Involve?

As part of a dynamic, multi-skilled and small team, your responsibilities as Electrical Design Engineer

• Assume full responsibility for electrical design activities for MV, LV & ELV networks and systems from concept to detailed design and “As-Built”, while leading a dedicated Electrical Engineering Design team.
• Perform design, calculations, systems & equipment sizing using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
• Develop electrical (MV & LV) design documents from concept to construction based on client requirements and specifications. Including, but not limited to specifications, SLDs, calculations, schematics, layout drawings, designs, plans, etc.
• Studying, understanding, and checking the completeness of tenders’ requirements and contract documents (drawings, specifications, and BOQ’s).
• Reviewing and validating the design documents, systems & equipment sizing, and BOQ’s for the pre-designed tenders and conducting quantity surveying(s) for the lumpsum items.
• Receiving and evaluating suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractor’s technical & financial offers and checking compliance with the tender requirements.
• Prepare the technical submittals and negotiating the same with the client.
• Generate shop drawings and material takeoff sheets/BoQs for execution.
• Support site construction in terms of related issues and solving technical issues with consultants.
• Closely coordinate electrical design production between the in-house design team, external design companies, suppliers, and subcontractors, and, where applicable, client's designers.
• Liaise with the client's engineering staff, or, where applicable, their design consultants to ensure designs are approved in accordance with the timescales stipulated within the contract.
• Assist in the development of less experienced Electrical personnel.
