Job Description
Job Title: Social Studies Teacher (Grades 3-5)
Overview:
We are seeking a passionate English and Social Studies Teacher for Grades 6–12 who can deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons across English, History, Geography, Civics, and Culture with an Islamic lens. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of teaching experience, a strong grounding in U.S. standards, and the creativity to make lessons interactive and meaningful for diverse learners.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver interactive lessons in English or Social Studies, integrating Islamic perspectives where appropriate.
Use digital tools (Google Slides, Canva, interactive apps, Canvas LMS) to enhance student engagement.
Design activities, assessments, and projects that build critical thinking and real-world connections.
Support both synchronous (live) and self-paced learning experiences.
Collaborate with colleagues across subjects to enrich interdisciplinary learning.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
3–5 years of English or Social Studies teaching experience (Grades 3-5).
Strong knowledge of U.S. history, geography, government, and global studies.
Familiarity with U.S. K–12 standards and Islamic pedagogy.
Proficiency in digital design tools (Google Slides, Canva, etc.) and LMS platforms (Canvas preferred).
Strong classroom management, creativity, and communication skills.
Teaching certification or degree in Social Studies, Education, or related field preferred.
