Job Description
- The lab manager is expected to run the three school laboratories safely and efficiently.
- He/She will take responsibility for all aspects of all school labs including equipment, employees, supplies, software, and documentation.
- Trains lab technicians and assistants on the correct use of lab equipment, in addition to mentoring lab staff.
- Make sure everyone using the lab is following the standards and safety regulations for handling and disposing of test samples.
- Schedules lab or equipment use time for staff.
- Responsible for coordinating the purchasing of lab supplies and preparing ordering lists.
- Handles security documents and must ensure that all information and data collected in the lab is kept safe.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology, chemistry or chemical engineering.
- Five to seven years of experience.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
