Job Description
General Job Objective:
To plan, direct, organize and synchronize the financial functions of the company, by applying set policies and procedures. Evaluate the organization's fiscal performance and advise on the long-term planning and analyze financial reports, cash flow and budget to assess the NPEG financial position, goals and mission.
Key Responsibility Areas:
Supervise and assist in the operation and day to day activities for the company's finance and accounting team.
Contribute in the growth of business opportunities and expansion of the company’s business operation and segments.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed.
- Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.
- Review payment transfer letter of set limit in policies and procedure for the payment of import goods and ensure that amounts, payment period, supplier and terms and condition of payment are appropriate.
- Authorize the payment through cheque as per the set limits in the policies and procedure manual and ensure that details for payments are provided to the Accounts and Finance Manager.
- Overall monitor the control the banking activities of the company.
- Directs, conducts, and/or participates in cost analyses.
- Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines and according to reporting calendar.
- Evaluate computerized accounting system and provide recommendations for performance improvements.
- Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures.
- Supporting Accounts and Finance Manager in ensuring that intercompany cost allocations are in line with management agreements and transfer pricing policy.
- Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting and working closely with the operations and project teams.
- Generate financial reports and statements to Managers for review.
- Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
- Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues and determine budget variances and report the same to management.
- Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion.
- Provide guidance to other Accountants when needed.
- Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.
- Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
- Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations.
- Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance, any additions qualification will be considered.
Experience:
- At least 7-8 years of experience in accounting, audit and costing functions in a reputable manufacturing organization.
