Job Description
- Develop and Upgrade Databases
- Install Security Software
- Evaluate Company Needs
- Create Disaster Recovery Plans
- Assessing data storage and access needs.
- Creating and maintaining databases.
- Upgrading database systems and software as needed.
- Developing emergency data storage and retrieval plans.
- Managing data backup operations.
- Stay updated with new database technologies and analyze such technologies to bring into scope of existing infrastructure.
Job Requirements
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
- Business awareness and understanding of business requirements of IT
- Willingness to keep up to date with developments in new technology
- Commitment to continuing professional development (CPD)
- Understanding of information legislation, such as the Data Protection Act.
