Job Description

Summary:


Applies innovative pricing approaches to drive price execution which ensures optimal commercial returnfor Pfizer in line with corporate objectives.


•Achieves targeted prices through effective price execution (e.g.price segmentation,negotiation,contracting)


•Coordinates internal Price Management and Price Governance processes


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:


•Maintains accurate pricing information, ensuring alignment between the prices on the country price list, approved by local authorities, approved by HQs, and in the invoicing system


•Assists in tender pricing and governance


•Anticipates price changes and supports product forecasts as part of annual Operating Plan processes


•Supports the review of pricelevelsforpriorityassetsandrecommendsrevenue-optimizingstrategies


•Supports competitive pricing intelligence in order to make recommendations of optimal pricing


•Manages implementation of mandatory price revisions, if applicable


•Supports price requests to local authorities, in compliance with local legislation and in coordination with cross functional team


  • Acts as primary country point of contact and super-user of Pfizer pricing data base (GPM)

KEY DELIVERABLES/METRICS:


•Maintains accurate pricing information


•Compiles summary reports on commercial contracts, rebates, and fees for review by management


•Tracks and monitors all agreements for renewal


•Supportspricesensitivityanalysisforappropriatepricingstrategies


•Supports the submission of pricing requests to local authorities, Including price certificates


•Collaborates on robust business cases to support proposals for price changes and tenders


ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS


  • Reports to Access & Value Lead.
  • Connection to SMEs – Proactive.
  • Works in close collaboration with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales/Commercial/Tender Team, Health &Value, Global PHI organization, Regulatory, legal and Finance.

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY/RESOURCES MANAGED


  • Geographic Scope Gulf markets (UAE, Kuwait, Oman,Qatar and Bahrain)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry with sales and commercial experience and 1-2 years’ experience in Market Access/KAM or Tender management is a plus.
  • Experience in pricing strategy and tactics, including content expertise on cross border referencing and parallel trade.
  • Broad Therapeutic Area experience is an advantage.
  • Experience of local laws & regulations in the reimbursement process is required.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English, Arabic is an advantage.
