Curriculum Developer:
We're seeking a passionate and experienced Curriculum Developer to join our team and drive the design and development of high-quality training programs in diverse engineering and management fields. You'll play a key role in shaping our academic offerings, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of industry and equip learners with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze training industry trends and identify curriculum development opportunities in any related field.
- Conduct needs assessments and gather feedback from instructors, subject matter experts, and potential learners to inform curriculum content and structure.
- Collaborate with instructors and SMEs to develop engaging and effective learning materials, including online modules, instructor-led training manuals, case studies, and assessments.
- Ensure all curriculum materials adhere to established quality standards and industry best practices.
- Incorporate innovative instructional design principles and technologies to enhance the learning experience.
- Manage the curriculum development lifecycle, from initial planning to implementation and evaluation.
- Conduct pilot testing and revisions to refine and optimize training programs.
- Maintain and update existing curriculum to reflect new industry developments and technologies.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of course documentation and training resources.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging trends in online and offline training delivery methods.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote and support training programs.
- Receive assigned topics and conduct thorough research.
- Compare existing curriculum outlines to identify improvement opportunities.
- Craft engaging curriculum materials, including checklists, lesson plans presentations, simulations, reference materials, and videos.
- Facilitate optional expert meetings to gather valuable insights and ensure content accuracy.
- Review and update current training materials to keep them relevant and effective.
- Analyze industry trends and research new learning strategies to continually refine curriculum development practices.
- Receive assigned technical topics and delve into thorough research.
- Develop comprehensive content outlines with clear organization and resource allocation.
- Translate complex technical concepts into understandable and engaging language.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Contribute to the overall development plan for technical writing projects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education, Instructional Design, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in curriculum development for engineering and/or management training programs.
- Proven track record of success in designing and developing engaging and effective learning materials.
- Strong understanding of Adult Learning Principles and instructional design frameworks.
- Experience with online learning platforms and authoring tools preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative and team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
