Business Intelligence Support Specialist

Role purpose: The role involves delivering efficient support and problem-solving for Vodafone Enterprise applications and services. This includes applying proactive measures and monitoring to maintain optimal service availability and performance. Additionally, the position ensures timely availability of closing, trade, and daily reports.

    Ensure 100% data delivery and availability through the development, automation, and application of daily health checks.
    Handle BI operational jobs, tuning services and applications, and establish quality gates and alerts for effective system performance.
    Take responsibility for post-production testing and the successful implementation of applied changes to the systems.
    Investigate, generate, and follow up with Application Development and vendors on open Problem Notifications in production applications.
    Implement corrective action deployments and setups as required.
    Effectively support finance monthly closing activities and Bi-Weekly trade review reports.
    Participate in setting daily/weekly/monthly KPIs representing service availability.
    Monitor all KPIs and take appropriate actions in case of violations or trends indicating potential issues.
    Support 24/7 all BI services/enterprise applications.
    Ensure critical production services are properly monitored, develop monitoring tools, and establish quality gates to handle failures and performance issues.
    Provide support for finance services, including addressing closing issues, extractions, models, and reporting.
    Attend monthly closings until completion, ensuring full availability during the closing period
    Handle support services and BI/enterprise applications within the normal on-call or shift-based duty actions.    •    Core competencies, knowledge and experience 
•    From 2-5 years’ experience in BI domain.
•    Proven experience in supporting data warehouse and BI environments.
•    Strong SQL skills for querying and troubleshooting.
•    Familiarity with data modeling concepts and ETL processes.
•    Knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Business Object reporting tool
•    Understanding of data warehousing technologies and architectures.
•    Experience in performance tuning and optimization.
•    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
•    Good communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 Must have technical / professional qualifications: 
•    Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
•    Knowledge of BI analytical/reporting tools 
•    Very Good in Python -Spark -Kafka
•    Very Good SQL/PLSQL Oracle 
•    Unix shell scripting
•    Knowledge about ETL concept and its tools Data stage – business object
•    Knowledge in billing and charging, rating systems knowledge
