Job Description
Qanawat is looking for a highly creative and hands-on Art Director to lead our in-house creative team across multiple regional offices. This role is not about remote oversight — we’re looking for someone who thrives on collaboration, works closely with designers and content creators, and actively participates in the concept-to-execution journey of all creative deliverables.
You will be responsible for driving the visual identity and creative strategy of the brand, ensuring cohesive storytelling across digital, social, print, and video content.
Responsibilities
- Establish and lead a high-performing in-house creative team that supports all regional offices, ensuring consistent collaboration, brand alignment, and executional excellence across markets.
- Maintain a hands-on approach, not only overseeing creative direction but also actively contributing to design and production when needed to uphold quality and support the team.
- Provide hands-on guidance to graphic designers, animators, and video editors, overseeing the daily development of creative assets while fostering an environment of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Drive the overall visual direction and brand expression for a wide range of entertainment content — including YouTube channels, streaming platforms, culturally-driven campaigns, social-first video formats, and Islamic or heritage-based media — ensuring high-impact storytelling and audience engagement.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing department and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between creative output and strategic objectives, supporting campaigns with compelling visuals and cohesive brand messaging.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related creative field.
- 5+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, with a proven track record in the entertainment, media, or digital content industry.
- Strong working knowledge of Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Creator Studio, Meta Business Suite) with an understanding of content formats, ad specifications, and creative best practices for performance-driven campaigns.
- Proficiency in industry-standard creative tools
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional creative teams and manage full-cycle creative production for campaigns across social media, video platforms, and branded content.
- Deep understanding of storytelling, branding, and audience engagement, particularly in visual formats tailored for entertainment, cultural, and youth-driven content.
- Hands-on designer with the ability to jump into design tasks directly when needed, especially in fast-paced environments or high-priority projects.
- Familiarity with trends in digital entertainment, including YouTube content strategy, short-form video, influencer aesthetics, and social-first campaigns.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience aligning creative work with marketing and content strategies.
