Job Description
Collaborating with other engineers, architects, and construction professionals to design electrical systems for new construction projects, as well as renovations and upgrades to existing structures.
- Creating detailed electrical plans and specifications, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints, that outline the design and construction process.
- Selecting and specifying electrical components, such as transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers, based on project requirements and industry standards.
- Conducting calculations to ensure that electrical systems are safe, efficient, and compliant with all relevant codes and regulations.
- Follow up the installation and testing of electrical systems, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during construction or operation.
- Conducting research on new technologies and materials, and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an electrical engineering
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience as an electrical design engineer
- Excellent command of the English language
- Hands-on experience in the design, analysis, production, and testing of digital and analog circuits.
- Knowledge of electrical design software tools is essential: Altium and SVN version control for design collaboration.
- Knowledge and experience with laboratory test equipment including logic, spectrum, and power analyzers, Oscilloscopes, signal generators, and/or emulators for processors/microcontrollers.
- Designers should be familiar with the space radiation environment, electromagnetic environment, physical launch environments, and thermal heat dissipation at ambient and vacuum conditions.
- Knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility analysis and testing and aerospace/ government requirements and guidelines.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, plan daily activities, evaluate new situations, and respond accordingly.
