Job Description
- Provide the overall supervision of the activities of the CIVAS Services and perform other related Functions.
- Establish and implement policies and procedures of CIVAS in accordance with the policies of the pharmacy department and of the hospital
- Instruct, train and supervise all CIVAS staff
- Supervise/ review the performance and the maintenance schedules of the PEC & SEC
- Review and approve schedule of duties of the staff
- Prepare requisitions for drug items and other supplies for procurement based on the hospital’s prescriptions pattern
- Provide information concerning drugs and drug therapy to physicians, CIVAS staff, nurses and other health care personnel of the hospital;
- Assist in the evaluation of reports on ADR, and Infection Control Programs
- Plan and prepare research activities on pharmaceutical operational and clinical researches
- Supervise the posting and checking of deliveries from the pharmacy store and other Stores for safekeeping and proper storage.
- Plan suitable educational and training programs for professional staff and pharmacy Staff and students in accordance with the regulations and policies of the hospital
- Prepare, conduct and supervise the Quality Assurance Program (QAP) Review of the CIVAS Service And participate in the QAP of the hospital
- Attend meetings/seminar-workshops/consultative meetings related to drugs and sterile Compounding practice
- Recommend CIVAS development or improvements to the hospital director or to the Chief pharmacy officer
- Check and evaluate overall performance of the CIVAS staff and performance
- Ratings of the CIVAS personnel on monthly bases
- Check the maintenance of the drug inventory control
- Control dangerous and high alert medications distribution and drug dispensing activities;
- Supervise record keeping activities;
- Supervise and conduct the post training and annually media transfer test for all CIVAS staff
- Prepare schedules of duties of pharmacists and other personnel;
- Whenever possible Check completed work of CIVAS staff before issuance;
- Chick for the adherence of all CIVAS staff to the aseptic techniques and standard Operating procedures
- Prepare the annual appraisal of all CIVAS staff
- Represent (or his deputy) the CIVAS services in all the meetings or discussions needed to
- regulate the work flow with other departments in the hospital
- Participate in the improvement of the nutrition support service in the hospital and
- participate in the hospital’s nutrition support multi-disciplinary team
- Conduct/ supervise the work flow measurement and analyze the outcomes for proper staff utilization
- Conduct/ supervise the unit statistical data for proper management
- Perform other related functions.
Job Requirements
- BSc. Pharmaceutical Science,
- Hospital Management Diploma is Preferred
