Financial Manager Job description

Financial managers advise clients on appropriate business planning and help in decision-making processes to ensure that businesses are financially successful. This might involve advising on investments, savings, pensions or insurance products.

• Collating, preparing, and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries, and financial statements
• Undertaking strategic analysis and assisting with strategic planning
• Producing long-term business plans
• Undertaking research into pricing, competitors, and factors affecting performance
• Controlling income, cash flow, and expenditure
• Managing budgets, and cost reduction planning
• Developing and managing financial systems/models
• Carrying out business modeling and risk assessments
• Supervising staff
• Liaising with managerial staff and other colleagues.
• Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company (payroll, invoicing, and other transactions)
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting
• Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership
• Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests
• Manage the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
