Job Description

Supply chain manager will coordinate and manage transportation, and delivery of goods and products. He will oversee inventory control, purchasing.  

He will analyze the production process and make recommendations to improve the efficiency of the workflow and quality of the products while cutting costs. He will make sure there are sufficient materials and supplies on hand for production and that there is sufficient inventory.

  • Planning supply chain schedules in advance in preparation for busy seasonal periods.
  • Keeping in touch with suppliers and developing cordial relationships with them.
  • Making sure that all supplier information and records are up to date.
  • Taking steps to ensure the personal safety and safe working environment of staff.
  • Overseeing the development and utilization of a supplier database.
  • Keeping accurate records of products, contracts, pricing and invoicing information.
  • Obtaining quotations and making cost comparisons.
  • Carrying out the initial and also ongoing assessment of the supply chain
  • Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are understood and practiced by the team at all times
  • Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods
  • Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets customer’s timescales/requirements
  • Supervise and control order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage
  • Organize, facilitate and manage stock takes at regular intervals
  • Ensure that all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with the Company’s procedures and requirement
  • Deliver the product to the customer on time, every time using appropriate methods
  • Operate visual delivery tracking systems in order that commodity status can be seen at a glance
  • Ensure that internal delivery processes are adhered to support dispatch time windows
  • In conjunction with the Warehouse Manager, implement warehouse and management systems and working practices in line with best practice and continuous improvement
  • Monitor and review operational methods to facilitate both qualitative and quantitative improvements within the operation whilst ensuring continuous customer service
  • Ensure security of Warehouse environment and maintain access control, ensuring 5S housekeeping standards are maintained at all times
  • Maintain the management of supplier return packaging
  • Record and communicate all shortage issues to the relevant Materials Analyst
  • Monitor stock levels in order to highlight minimum and excess levels and therefore prevent part shortages job requirements
  • Create policies or procedures for logistics activities.
  • Manage logistics operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of B.S Degree, preferable a higher /post-graduate degree in a relevant area, and or Supply Chain Diploma certificate.
  • Min 10 years of experience with a relevant concept, minimum of 3 years experience in supply chain management preferable in fashion field.
  • Very Good command of English language spoken and written.
