Job Description
- Manage all technical procedures such as design, estimation, material ...
- Analyses the technical specifications, contract and project scope of work.
- Ability to provide design and build-ability consultancy, including material knowledge and installation techniques.
- Plan and monitor the drawing submission schedule in cooperation with the client according to the contract and site requirements.
- Develop with the design team the concept drawings, shop drawings and fabrication drawings to meet the project requirement/specification.
- Plan and monitor the material budget in cooperation MRP.
- Provide technical advice and assessment on all kind of material components related to the company's project works to ensure compliance with the project specification.
- Review all drawing submissions prior to submittal.
- Ensure the drawings; calculations and engineering submissions gain client approval prior to production Submission and site installation and final submission with as-built condition as per contract programmed.
- Coordinate, describe and arrange mock-ups / performance testing to meet the contract requirement.
- Ensure that all technical information and drawings for the project are issued on time for both production and installation.
- Work closely with site personnel to ensure that the installation works are erected in accordance to the drawings and project specification.
- Initiate necessary corrective and preventive action for the non-conformance in design.
- Providing technical guidance and learning to junior members of the team.
Job Requirements
- Should have around 10 – 15 years facade engineering experience.
- Post qualification of a BSc/MSc in Structural, Mechanical, Industrial, Architectural, Degree.
- Worked within a reputed facade consultancy or a facade contractor is required and recent experience in the Middle East/Gulf market is highly desirable.
- Experience managing the technical development of facade systems and formulation of technical reports independently in the past and experience in bespoke facade systems and geometrically complex buildings and structures are necessary.
- Capability to manage all technical aspects such as design, estimation, material coordination, construction coordination, production orders, and so on....
- Practical experience in curtain wall production activities including fabrication and assembly of curtain wall panels.
- Practical experience in curtain wall and facade installation.
- Strong sense of commercial awareness and project targets.
- Fluent in English.
- High skills in software that related to the job, including but not limited to AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office.
