Job Description
We are looking for a unique individual to take on the role of House Manager for a private family based in an exclusive suburb of Cairo. This role will be responsible for the smooth running of the family home.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Recruiting and managing the domestic team including housekeepers, nanny, chef, driver and gardeners
- Managing the household budget
- Overseeing the grocery shopping and daily food, in liaison with the chef
- Taking care of the personal requests of the family such as booking activities, event planning, errand running, and managing ad-hoc household projects
- Overseeing visitors to the home and making sure they have an incredible guest experience. Including welcoming them, booking and accompanying them on activities, booking their flights & generally being the first point of contact
- Establishing an address book of great household suppliers, overseeing any household maintenance and managing contractors
This person will be the main lynchpin for the family in Egypt, working closely with their UK team.
Job Requirements
We are imagining you are from a luxury hotel background as a hotel manager or you have worked as a private household manager previously.
About you:
- Fluent in English & Arabic (written & verbal)
- Egyptian or have an excellent understanding of the Egyptian culture and the right to work in the country
- A proven background working in a luxury home as a private house manager or manager of a luxury boutique hotel
- A degree in hotel/hospitality management (not essential)
- Excellent customer services skills
- Fabulous organisational skills

- Checkable references and good retention in your previous roles
