Job Description
- Design Mechanical drawings (Firefighting-Plumbing) and coordinate with other departments.
- Modify drawings in accordance with engineer markups and specifications on existing drawings
- Creating new AutoCAD drawings from hand drawings and conceptual ideas.
- All work must incorporate professional drawing standards and symbols.
- Works with senior and fellow engineers to develop alternatives and options for further development of projects and products.
- Responsible for reporting progress of all assigned tasks to the head department and implementing specific plumbing & firefighting and mechanical engineering works in accordance with the work program of a project or as requested.
- Organizes and supervises the work of draftsmen allocated to him and provides relevant support and/or advice to project teams as applicable.
- Responsible for efficient and effective design of plumbing & firefighting and mechanical engineering works, preparation of drawings, calculations, bills of quantities, contract documents, etc.
- Verifies that all designs, drawings, and documents are to current codes and standards.
- Liaises as directed with other engineers on all matters necessary for the implementation of the work program of the project.
- Undertakes special and/or project assignments as required by the Plumbing & Fire Fighting Section Head or his responsible Principal Plumbing & Fire Fighting Engineer, as applicable.
- Producing complicated drawings and charts in a specialized field, involving planning, layout, bill of materials, etc. for major installations.
- Responsible for the generation of Assembly drawings and bills of materials.
- Responsible for meeting design to cost figures.
- Responsible for carrying out design change requests in a timely manner.
Job Requirements
- Mechanical Engineering bachelor’s degree.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a relevant field of Engineering Consultants offices.
- Excellent AutoCAD
- Good Microsoft Office
- Excellent English language
- Hard worker and can work under pressure
- Experience in design.
- Revit Knowledge.
- Full awareness of all related design software.
