Job Description
- Keeping financial data organized and updated
- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
- Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
- Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.
- Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
- Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
- Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Job Requirements
Experience:
- Advanced Excel skills. (Required)
- SAP : experience (Preferred)
- Accounting: 5-7 years of experience at least (Required)
Education:
- Bachelor’s (Required)
- CMA is a plus
- IFRS Diploma is a plus
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven work experience as Accounting Manager, Finance Manager or Controller
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases, preferably Sage Intacct and/or QuickBooks desktop and on-line
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
- Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- Ability to direct and supervise
- Ability to quickly learn and use new software applications
- Ability to multi-task and to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience working in a paperless environment strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills; team player with a positive, can do approach
- Positive telephone, email and other communication skills as contact with clients and others will be extensive and ongoing
- Ability to apply self to learning and applying technical skills
- Interest in personal and professional development and advancement
