Job Description

  • Keeping financial data organized and updated
  • Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
  • Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
  • Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.
  • Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
  • Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
  • Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Job Requirements

Experience:

  • Advanced Excel skills. (Required)
  • SAP : experience  (Preferred)
  • Accounting:  5-7 years of experience at least (Required)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s (Required)
  • CMA is a plus
  • IFRS Diploma is a plus
  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Proven work experience as Accounting Manager, Finance Manager or Controller
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases, preferably Sage Intacct and/or QuickBooks desktop and on-line
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Ability to direct and supervise
  • Ability to quickly learn and use new software applications
  • Ability to multi-task and to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience working in a paperless environment strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills; team player with a positive, can do approach
  • Positive telephone, email and other communication skills as contact with clients and others will be extensive and ongoing
  • Ability to apply self to learning and applying technical skills
  • Interest in personal and professional development and advancement
