Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
The Scrum Master is responsible for running the sprints, ensuring that all Scrum events, such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective, are conducted effectively. They assist the team in prioritizing the product backlog items, facilitate discussions during ceremonies, and help the team to improve their processes through retrospectives. The Scrum Master also supports the team in maintaining a sustainable pace and promotes a culture of continuous learning and adaptation
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS, COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Business, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
Scrum Master certification such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master
(PSM) from recognized organizations.
Additional Agile certifications (e.g., PMI-ACP) can be beneficial.
3+ years of experience as a dedicated Scrum Master.
Proven track record of successfully facilitating Scrum teams and delivering high-quality products using agile methodologies.
Experience working with cross-functional and self-organizing teams in software development or other relevant industries.
Strong understanding of Scrum principles, practices, and ceremonies, with the ability to guide teams through the Scrum framework effectively.
Proficient in resolving conflicts, removing impediments, and promoting a collaborative and empowered team culture.
Familiarity with various agile frameworks and practices, and the ability to tailor them to suit the team's needs.
Excellent communication, coaching, and mentoring skills to facilitate the team's growth and continuous improvement.
Knowledge of agile metrics and reporting to track team performance and progress towards project goals.
Previous experience in agile project management, product development, or related fields is advantageous.
Experience in coordinating and managing multiple Scrum teams simultaneously, handling cross?team dependencies and scaling agile practices, if applicable.
