Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Senior Oracle Fusion Middleware developer who is responsible for understanding the requirements and implementing the development and maintenance projects using Oracle Fusion Middleware Technologies - SOA suite, WebCenter Suite, WebLogic Suite and OHS with sound knowledge in design and architectural patterns.

  • Good adaptation of Software development approaches and methodologies based on the system or software projects including Waterfall, Incremental, Iterative and Agile.
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills.
  • Self-organized and organize the team and activities.
  • Provide third level support to business users.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential problems.
  • Document design requirements and specifications through excellent writer and verbal communication.
  • Partner with small agile team throughout the entire life cycle of projects to define, design, build and implement business process-based solutions.
  • Design and implement metrics to optimize and manage business processes following initial implementations.
  • Collaborate with Product and Process Owners to challenge business stakeholders to creatively automate processes with new solutions and approaches.
  • Leverage standard process improvement tools to ensure delivery of solutions meeting business needs and addressing all root cause issues.
  • Design and build new data models to support application needs.
  • Facilitate requirements discovery and grooming sessions with business subject matter experts to document user stories with agreed upon acceptance criteria.
  • Complete peer review and quality testing of team members completed tasks.
  • Operate within a governance framework to ensure appropriate change management processes are met.
  • Mentor and assist development team with new skills and complex tasks within the BPM platform.
  • Provide support for all applications in production by reviewing incoming issues, performing triage, and recommending paths to resolution.

Job Requirements

Technology Requirements:

  • Capable of understanding and contributing to the technical solution from architecture, design through to code level.
  • Design and build applications for the Oracle Fusion Middleware Technologies.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Expert Proficiency with Technologies and programming languages – Java, J2EE, Oracle ADF, Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle BPM, Oracle Service Bus, Oracle WebCenter Portal (good to have), Oracle WebCenter Content, Oracle WebCenter Sites (good to have).
  • Hands-on experience with SOAP and RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards.
  • Optimizing data usage over networks.
  • Experience in developing web applications using popular web framework - HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, AJAX and related technologies in the context of interactive web applications.
  • Experience in implementing User Tasks, Business Rules Tasks, Service Tasks, Web Forms and ADF Forms in BPM.
  • Experience in BPM Studio, BPM Composer and BPM Workspace.
  • Hands-on experience with BPM java API's.
  • Strong experience with Oracle SOA Suite SCA composites and components like BPEL process, Mediator, Business Rules, Human Workflow, and activities like Assign, Invoke, Pick, Receive, Switch, Flow, Java embedding, Email, Wait, While, Validate etc. 
  • Strong experience with EDN and Technology adapters DB Adapter, File Adapter, FTP Adapter, MFT Adapter, JMS Adapter, BAM Adapter and Web services Adapter
  • Strong experience and understanding in XML, XSD, WSDL, Schema Validations, and XSLT.
  • Configuration of MDS repository to store WSDLs, Schemas, DVM .
  • Strong understanding of best practices around WSDL Versioning, namespaces and XML dictionaries.
  • Ability in designing reusable and highly available SOA solutions.
  • Key programming skills include Java, J2EE, JSF, Oracle ADF Faces, HTML, XML, JDBC, JSP, and EJB, Writing Junit, Jmeter, JProfiler.
  • Strong experience with SQL queries and PL/SQL and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architecture and ESB concepts.

Position Requirements:

  • Write well designed, testable, and efficient code and orchestrations.
  • Object oriented analysis and design knowledge to understand the designs and build designs.
  • Experience in any of the Oracle Fusion Middleware Product Stacks - Oracle WebLogic Suite, Oracle SOA/BPM Suite, Oracle WebCenter Suite, Oracle Access Manager (good to have).
  • Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in user experience development and front-end web technologies, and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans.
  • Experience in Test Driven Development.
  • Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions.
  • Supports continuous improvement of user experience tools, documentation, and process.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadline.
