Job Description
We are looking for an experienced web designer with a keen eye for visual design and a deep understanding of the latest web technologies. You’ll be working in WordPress, and web apps. Sometimes you’ll design, sometimes you’ll develop (front-end), sometimes you’ll do both.
You should be comfortable with everything that falls under that umbrella: Wireframes, design mockups, writing code, creating custom post types, capturing dark wizards, and all the odds and ends that come in between.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with our diverse marketing team update/ maintain websites, post original content to the sites, design and implement new digital content
- Work with team members to research and implement desired features through available WordPress, WP plugins & Elementor
- Improve and scale up websites with SEO in mind and based on the WordPress best practices
- Build and optimize standard reusable blog and page templates that can be deployed quickly based on the requirements
- Create conversion-oriented landing pages
- Implement technical SEO strategies and website performance improvements
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience with published work samples, and a strong portfolio. Agency-side experience is a plus.
- You should know WordPress like the back of your hand. And the front of your hand. And the gap between your fingers.
- An excellent eye for visual design, and a great instinct for UI and UX best practices
- Experience working with WordPress and Elementor
- Strong knowledge of HTML & CSS, and best practices
- Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, particularly as it pertains to WordPress
- Ability to quickly convert the design to the implementation with minimum lead time.
