Job Description
As a PhonGap Developer, your main responsibility is for the production, modification and maintenance of Phpfox based mobile application's custom functionality, and by "custom" we do mean the work of our professional Phpfox Developers on our team, where they do the remote api work and you integrate that into a pre-existing mobile source-code (Apache Cordova with PhoneGap).
You will work closely with our Technical Director to implement all mobile requirements for both Android and iOS.
As a PhoneGapDeveloper you’ll also be responsible for:
- Providing accurate timing estimates on work.
- Contributing to documentation (instructional, pitch and technical specification).
- Contributing to the company development standards working closely with the Head of Development or Technical Director.
- Constantly seeking to develop yourself.
Job Requirements
It’s not really about the number of years of experience; this is old fashioned requirement now. It’s more about what your technical capability and demonstrable experience, the types of project size you’ve worked on, your knowledge of Phpfox in particular, your ability to turn around a project, and also your strengths in advance Phpfox Mobile Development.
Skills & Experience Necessary for This Role:
- Experience with Apache Cordova and PhoneGap is essential.
- Experience with Javascript and jQuery is essential.
- Experience using JSON, REST, HTTP WebServices and APIs is essential.
- Adaptable to a fast changing but disciplined Agile development environment.
- Good understanding of Web Accessibility.
- Experience working with version control systems such as SVN or Git.
- Experience building mobile apps using PhoneGap to at least an AA standard
