Job Description
- Receive all construction materials, spare parts, tools, and equipment delivered to the warehouse or project site.
- Verify received items against purchase orders, delivery notes, and specifications.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, supplies, and equipment in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols for the storage and handling of materials.
- Organize and store materials in an orderly and safe manner to prevent damage or loss.
- Issue materials, tools, and equipment to site engineers, supervisors, and workers as per approved requisitions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records (receipts, issues, transfers, and returns) using ERP systems or stock registers.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excess to the Procurement Department.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system balances.
- Coordinate with project and procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of required materials.
- Ensure compliance with safety and security standards in the warehouse and storage areas.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports to management.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a storekeeper, preferably in a construction company.
- Knowledge of construction materials (cement, steel, finishing materials, and MEP supplies).
- Proficiency in MS Office and warehouse management systems (ERP).
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Proven ability to manage inventory and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to operate inventory management software and standard office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with team members.
