Job Description

Wood is currently looking for a Senior Commercial Advisor to join our team in Dubai, UAE.

A senior role within the Wood Iraq business, joining the recently formed joint venture company with Woods long-term Iraq partner, Al Majal. The joint venture company is ‘Wood. Al Majal’ and has been formed to deliver optimized end-to-end delivery for maintenance repair orders & minor plant modifications.

Reports to the Wood. Al Majal General Manager, with functional reporting line to Wood Iraq Commercial Manager and provides input to Business Plan, Budget, Proposals an Execution Plans. 

The role is to develop and own the commercial model for the joint venture company both pre and post contract award, working in compliance with Wood policies and procedures. 

The role will ensure delivery of commercial reporting to the JV Board as well as corporate function and ensure all commercial procedures are followed. Implementation and delivery of key policies and procedures including the Wood Financial Management Framework and Tender Governance Procedures.

During the initial stage, the role will also cover sub-contracting and procurement activities, until such time that dedicated personnel fill the roles.

Mentors and coaches team members in commercial processes and procedures, personnel development, and training.
