Chief Executive Officer – Job Description
About the Job:
The CEO will be a key member of the school’s management team and will oversee/manage complete
non-academic school operations and act as the point person and key contact for the school to the founder/principal and Board of Directors.
About the client :
Established in 1999, as one the leading international schools in Alexandria with 1500+ students. The school is a k-12 educational establishment that provides two systems of education:
British system – accredited by Cambridge, Edexcel and OxfordAQA
American system – accredited by Cognia (AdvancED)
Responsibilities:
- The CEO will be responsible for:
- Leading the administrative/non-academic pillar and guiding the overall school’s performance by introducing/providing operational controls to the organization
- Work alongside the school’s academic head to provide leadership and vision to the organization by assisting the Board and staff with the development of long term and annual plans, and with the evaluation and reporting of progress on plans
- Recruiting a new CFO and HR director as well as optimization of organizational structure
- Provide leadership, direction and management of the administrative team
Contribute to the development of the school’s strategy and participate in management decision- making and Board meetings, assigned committees and collaborative processes
Ensure consistency with legal regulations and the school’s internal controls along with delivery of effective service levels to all departments within the organization - Ensure the integrity of the school’s control systems
- Provide vision regarding overall financial performance of the school
- Provide vision and leadership in long-term fiscal planning to ensure the continuity and solvency of the organization
Job Requirements
Job Requirements:
- 15+ years of relevant experience with proven experience as a CEO, general manager any other relevant role in a reputed educational establishment
- Proven track record of people management
- Demonstrated track record of introducing and implementing operational controls
- Strong leadership skills and “hands-on” approach
- Budgeting, planning and strategy skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Strong knowledge of legal regulations within the Egyptian education sector
- Strong English writing and communication skills
