Job Description
Summary
We are looking for a technically oriented Strategic Research Analyst to join our team and support strategic planning, business development, and investment decisions within the Metals, Mining, Mineral Processing, and Refining industries.
The ideal candidate will combine a strong technical understanding of industrial processes with excellent research, analytical, and business intelligence skills to transform complex industry information into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for senior management.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive research on local and international metals, mining, and refining industries.
Analyze market trends, global metal prices, supply and demand dynamics, and industry developments.
Research mining companies, metal producers, refineries, smelters, and mineral processing facilities.
Study mining operations, mineral processing technologies, metal extraction, and refining processes.
Conduct competitor analysis and develop comprehensive industry and company databases.
Identify potential investment opportunities, strategic partnerships, new markets, and business expansion opportunities.
Collect, validate, and analyze technical, commercial, and financial industry data.
Prepare market research reports, feasibility research, executive summaries, and management presentations.
Provide research-based insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mining engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Geology, or Industrial Engineering.
3–7 years of relevant experience in industrial research, market intelligence, mining, metals, refining, or technical business research.
Good understanding of metals and mining value chains, mineral processing, and metal refining technologies.
Strong analytical, research, and information-gathering skills.
Excellent report-writing and presentation skills.
Excellent command of English.
Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Familiarity with Power BI and industry research platforms is preferred.
