Job Description
- Facilitate the clearance of goods through customs and ports efficiently, ensuring all procedures are followed correctly.
- Ensure compliance with all national and international laws and regulations related to imports and exports.
- Communicate effectively with customs agents and port officials to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare, review, and manage all necessary documentation for clearance processes, including bills of lading, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
- Coordinate with internal departments to provide accurate and timely information on shipments.
- Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and laws, and inform the team and company of these updates.
- Resolve any issues or delays that arise during the clearance process.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in customs clearance and freight forwarding.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local and international customs regulations and procedures.
- Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
