Job Description
- Lead the end-to-end procurement process for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) materials and services for multiple construction projects.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of MEP supplies and subcontracted services.
- Evaluate and select qualified suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors, negotiating terms and contracts to secure the best value.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to forecast material requirements and align procurement activities with project schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards, delivery timelines, and contractual obligations.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Resolve procurement-related issues, such as delivery delays, quality discrepancies, or contractual disputes, in a proactive and professional manner.
- Stay updated on market trends, new products, and alternative suppliers to enhance procurement efficiency and cost savings.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and industry regulations throughout the procurement process.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical.
- 5 to 7 years of proven experience in procurement, specifically within the MEP sector of the Finishing industry.
- Strong knowledge of MEP materials, equipment, and suppliers relevant to construction projects.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of procurement best practices, legal terms, and contract management.
