Job Description

Sales Performance

  • Ensure monthly targets are set in line with productivity expectations/ requirements by retail outlet and agent.
  • Take ownership for the commercial performance of the retail outlets against all individual and store KPI objectives and targets.
  • Challenges others to improve and finds new ways to increase competitive advantage.
  • Analyse the performance records of individual sales agents and feed the results to the sales management team.

Product & Content Knowledge

  • To maintain a high level of awareness and knowledge of the retail market, media and technology industry and internal activity to ensure that challenges to and opportunities for sales are identified and an open two-way dialogue is kept with sales management.
  • Have complete knowledge of OSN’s content including current hot offerings e.g. same time as the US.
  • To ensure that all of the team understand OSN promotions, competitor and free to air propositions and where relevant pricing to best sell OSN to the customer over a competitor.
  • To ensure that all of the team fully understand and keep up to date with the range of products and services to demonstrate to the customer the premium product we offer. Supporting the team with their product and content knowledge to ensure success of the kiosk.

Policies & Processes & Application of the Code of Conduct

  • Competently and confidently communicates key business messages to the team regularly, in a clear and simple way, ensuring the message is fully understood and able to be applied.
  • Ensure that all of the team are aware and able to comply with all sales policies and processes including business updates and the code of conduct.
  • Control cash handling and inventory management to ensure there is no discrepancies. Ensure all cash collection is delivered to the Finance Department within the agreed SLA.
  • To understand, drive and improve all areas of operational compliance, efficiency and security, ensuring that your retail outlet adheres to policy, process and procedures and providing a safe working environment for both colleagues and customers.
  • Manage all customer escalations in an efficient and professional manner.
  • To utilise and understand key people metrics and HR policies and procedures to maximise the resources available and manage the performance of your business.

Communication

  • To have strong two-way communication both up and down the sales force, being the key link between sales management and all opportunities or concerns with what is happening in the field.
  • To be simple and precise with all messages, delivering them in a multitude of ways to ensure that the audience is aware of the message and the importance.
  • To be culturally aware of communication differences across both employees and customers and having the aptitude to change communication to adapt to the audience.

  • To develop and maintain robust relationships with your peers within your area or country and also networking with cross functional departments to work collaboratively and productively.
  • To foster an environment, which is a great place to work for you and your colleagues through your dedication, enthusiasm, sharing of knowledge, honesty and desire to support others.

  • To act in an honest and trustworthy way, accurately representing the sales force in the field and sales management in an appropriate way.

  • To have regular and consistent interactions with all of the team including regular visits to each location whilst maintaining a presence in head office.

Job Requirements

Experience required:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience being successful in a high pressured, target-based sales environment.
  • Experience selling conceptual systems, designs or schemes (e.g., preferably entertainment-based, insurance related products, time share or off plan real estate)
  • Good understanding of retail store environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of managerial experience desired or demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others.

Education requirement:

  • Preferred – Bachelor’s degree

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong evidence of delivering long term commercial results through a team as well as exceptional service
  • Highly self-motivated and able to act on own initiative
  • Demonstrable success at building customer relationships and acting on their needs
  • Mobility within local area
  • Strong English communication skills (both written and spoken).
  • Arabic/other languages essential/preferred for local location.
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Interest in and awareness of pay TV
  • Coaching or being a role model to colleagues
