Job Description

  • As part of its ambitious plans, Universal Education wishes to appoint a dynamic, target driven Student Counsellor, to support development within the Egyptian market. 
  • With a good understanding of international recruitment within the education sector you will be able to demonstrate an awareness of the Egyptian market. 
  • You will require excellent organisational skills and be a self-starter with experience of working internationally. 
  • The post involves travel of up to 16 weeks per year throughout Egypt and abroad and includes exhibitions, open days, seminars and meetings with educational organisations and sponsorship bodies. 
  • The successful candidate will ideally have experience of travelling and building relationships in Egypt and will be confident and dynamic enough to travel independently throughout the Egypt.

Job Requirements

Essential skills: 

  • Fluent spoken and written Arabic and English 
  • Results orientated, ambitious and highly motivated 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of audiences 
  • Strong organisational, planning and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work under pressure, to deadline and within budget, to meet challenging targets 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Experience of sales or marketing 
  • Experience of working to and meeting targets 
  • University level education 
  • A passion for working in Egypt 
  • Willing to travel overseas independently and to work irregular hours when required 
  • Ability to think creatively and turn problems into solutions or opportunities 
  • The ability to adapt positively and quickly to changing environments and priorities 
  • IT literate 

Desirable skills: 

  • Experience of working or living in either the US or Australia 
  • Experience of international relationship management 
  • Understanding of UK, US and Australian International Higher Education
