- The consultant will be responsible for conducting a technical review of the bids received for the refurbishment of 13 training centers.
- The consultant will work closely with SEFPP in-house engineer to perform this task.
- Consultant Tasks and Duties
- As a team, review the bids received by SEFPP for refurbishment of 13 training centers in SEFPP’s governorates. This is a desk review tasks and there will be no travels.
- Prepare a complete technical review report for each training center using JSI/SEFPP’s template.
- The consultant’s findings and recommendations will be thoroughly discussed with SEFPP and relevant stakeholders. The consultant/ entity will complete and submit a draft final report in both English and Arabic at the end of the consultancy.
- Final technical review report for each of the 13 training centers using JSI/SEFPP’s template.
- Note: All documents developed by the consultant/ entity should be in both languages Arabic and English to be shared and reviewed by USAID.
- There is 5-10 days flexible period for the consultancy to allow for any changes or extra activities required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited engineering institution/university;
- Minimum of 5 years of proven similar work experience
- Preferred to have past work experience with similar USAID projects and activities
- S/he must be aware of the USAID environmental regulations and compliance requirements
- S/he must have knowledge of USAID’s relevant Sector Environmental Guidelines and SPHERE Understanding electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating and electronic systems
- Troubleshooting problems on various types of equipment
- Knowing equipment safety systems and processes
- Understand how to handle and dispose of hazardous materials
- Highly organized with high attention to detail.
- Computer and graphics skills a must (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, other data visualization tools).
- Ability to work well with a diverse team.
- Written and spoken English and Arabic required.
- Excellent report writing (in Arabic), skills in oral presentations.
