Job Description
- Manage all aspects of production operations, organization, and communication in product development and manufacturing
- Proactively research and develop fabric and trims to support Design team needs, including sourcing and/or counter sourcing original samples
- Research and source local sample rooms and factories that align with ethical standards of production
- Negotiate fabric and trim costs, lead times and minimums with mills and suppliers
- Create WIP to track costing and status of all raw goods/materials per style
- Manage library of strike offs, lab dips and submits for approval review with Design Director
- Partner with Design Director in style review meetings and ensure the team is aware of necessary details, ready dates, preliminary costs and other essential information
Job Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in Apparel Production is required
- Working knowledge and strong partnerships with local suppliers of sustainable fabrics and trims
- Working knowledge and strong partnerships with local samples rooms/manufacturers
- Working knowledge and understanding of sustainability certifications for fabric and supply chains
- Working knowledge and understanding of fabrics and construction
