Job Description
- Engineering-related solutions for various project and operational needs.
- Implementing one of the different modules of SAP throughout an implementation project with a customer for a predefined period of time.
- Consultant participates in customer gathering sessions during all business requirements for solution design.
- Consultant creates business processes document ‘Blueprint’ which lists down all business.
- Requirements have been gathered before and propose a solution design to be realized.
- Consultant performs customizing customer solution as per Blueprint.
- Executing Unit Test, System Test, and Integration Test before Final Integration test with customer team to make sure that solution is working as expected and performing tasks as requested.
- Consultant determines customizing requirements as per business need. Communicating these requirements to the development team if sap standard not covers these requirements is the responsibility of the Consultant.
- Needs to prepare presentations using a predefined format and complying with project standards and guidelines.
- Consultant prepares end-user manuals that are delivered to customer team at the end of final training.
- Consultant usually performs end-user training during the project life cycle.
- Represents the customer therefore needs to keep a professional image during the assignment lifetime.
- Consultant is preferred to follow up with the project scope and plan in order to be able to stick to the timeline of the assignment.
- For daily problems, and project-related concerns, the Consultant needs to be reported to the project manager with full details using email.
- Consultant has to fill knowledge gaps in SAP module as required for the current assignment. In case of a major knowledge deficit, this has to be reported to the Project Manager for preparing a proper Training plan.
- The consultant has the right to check with the team lead in case of common project-related issues that can affect the progress of the project. This has to be escalated to the Project Manager when required.
- Consultant may be part of an SAP scoping meeting, pre-sales activities in his/her module of expertise either inside customer premises or outside.
- Consultant may be requested to provide input in one or more SAP modules as part of Sales RFP activities. This is usually of urgent and critical nature for a consultant to respond to efficiently and fast.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience.
- Understanding SAP Project Lifecycle (Project Road-Map).
- Quality of writing business documents (Blueprints, Training Manuals).
- Ability to conduct and lead requirements gathering meetings.
- Efficiently understand and interpret customer requirements.
- Ability to cope with pressure.
- Willingness to learn.
- Customer negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
- Adaptive to changes.
- Interpersonal relationships.
