Job Description

The Foundation’s Project Director will work with the Foundation’s Executive Director on the execution, coordination, budgeting and monitoring of the Foundation’s annual and three years implementation plans; Facilitate advocacy, policy mobilization and research on behalf of the Foundation.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Implementation, coordination, budgeting and monitoring of the Foundation’s implementation plans
  • Develop, nurture and maintain relationships with government, key decision makers, experts, key opinion leaders, the private sector and civil society
  • Research, write and edit policy, advocacy and resource mobilization materials including memos, analyses, work plans, event materials and proposals
  • Speaking at different public settings inside & outside of Egypt
  • Develop educational materials related to different projects
  • Coordinate ongoing in-house and outside training
  • Supervise and support projects executed by outsourced vendors
  • Support the growth of the Foundation including the establishment of different functions and ensuring the hiring of the appropriate human resources
  • Support the establishment of the Foundation’s core volunteers and provide support and management
  • Assist/lead in organizing meetings, briefings and other events
  • Write reports to funders and the Foundation’s board, including financial reports and details of progress and challenges associated with the different projects
  • Maintain regular communication with the Executive Director of the Foundation
  • Any other assignments that may arise in connection with the fulfillment of the above responsibilities

Working Conditions

  • Five days work week
  • Flexible intensity (High or low)

Compensation

  • Competitive Salary relative to civil society organizations

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Political Science, public policy, public health, medical degree. Master’s degree is preferable
  • Substantial working knowledge & experience in the non-profit world, civil society and with the donor’s society
  • Strategic, creative thinker with sound judgment
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to follow through on projects essential
  • Public speaker & articulate presenter
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Knowledge of Research and research methodologies
  • Knowledge of global health issues a plus
  • Working knowledge in Arabic & English
  • Dynamic self-starter who is passionate about community service
  • Proven ability to organize events effectively and efficiently
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
