Job Description

  • Sigma for Int’l supplies, One of Egypt’s leading steel commodities & finished products agents & Representatives is hiring a Sales Engineer.

The position’s key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Overall market information such as:

  • Market size (all Sections, Hot Rolled Plates , Hot Rolled Coils, Steel Pipes, sheet piles , Tie Rods, ) for previous year and what is expected to be for next year.
  • Sigma market share.
  • Who are our competitors?
  • What are the coming projects,
  • What should be our strategy to increase Sigma market share:
  • Market size that Sigma should target for next year.
  • Which segments that Sigma should target
  • What is the size of each segment.
  • Which market share should Sigma target.
  • What is needed to achieve such market share,
  • What strategy should Sigma implement to achieve the desired market share.
  • Clear targets with clear KPIs.
  • Clear Strategy that has to be respected and fulfilled by both entities. With clear responsibilities within time frame.
  • Quarterly review of the performance.

Quarterly report and should cover the following:

Overall market info for the specific quarter such as:

  • Offers from other competitors.
  • Recent booking concluded.
  • Arrivals and expected to arrive and their prices if possible.
  • Retail prices
  • Stock sizes: high stocks, low stocks, normal stocks. Etc.
  • Market expectations.
  • Targeted projects and expected volumes from these projects.
  • Handle accounts of existing clients through regular follow up visits and calls for new inquiries.
  • Create new clients lists in different areas and market fields.
  • Prepare offers for the clients.
  • Discuss and explains all terms and conditions of the offers.
  • Reports to the Business Development Department.
  • Work individually or part of a sales team.
  • Achieve sales targets monthly/quarterly and yearly.

Job Requirements

The person should at least have the following skills and qualifications:

  • BSc in Engineering (any field – Preferably Mechanical/Eelectrical or Materials or Civil)
  • Knowledge of steel making practices is a plus.
  • Developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Experience in similar position.
  • Goal oriented and motivated.
