The Enterprise Risk Management Unit Assistant Manager is responsible for the overall execution of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) activities as directed by the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer and ensuring that the tasks are conducted in an efficient and effective manner as follows:
- Establishing policies and standards.
- Establishing risk management programs and assessing program adherence.
- Responsible for providing overall EBC risk oversight, monitoring and reporting on systemic and emerging risk issues and challenging the risk limits and appetite.
Job Requirements
- University degree.
- Postgraduate degree in business/commerce/economics/finance is an advantage.
- Certification in Enterprise Risk Management area is a plus
- Strong business insight gained from extensive use of educational degrees in banking sector or a related field Professional qualification.
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience with in risk management, audit or internal control related areas in a large (preferably multi-national banking organization).
- Strong people management skills with proven leadership abilities that motivate both direct and indirect teams to perform at their best.
- High degree of risk and problem-solving skills (technical, analytical, judgmental) and experience with working in various geographical locations (plus).
- Strong understanding of local banking practices, regulatory requirements and products & services.
- Sound knowledge of COSO and ISO 31000 ERM/Risk Management standards.
- Expert level quantitative and financial techniques / skills.
- Participation experience in variety of banking initiatives and solutions.
- Excellent knowledge of enterprise risk management practices with expertise in setting up and implementing an Enterprise risk management framework.
- Working knowledge of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools and stakeholder management skill is plus.
- Experience with risk management policies and processes.
- Experience with handling multiple risk functions, specifically procedures and mitigations for Operational Risk, Fraud Risk, and IT & Cyber risk.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills.

- Excellent command over verbal and written English.
- Team player with strong team building capability.
