Job Description
Position Objective:
Assist in Developing Design Department plans which guarantee quality, timely & cost efficient receipt of required, materials, insures Managing the Design Department efficiently.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Assist the H.O.D in evaluating the technical aspects of the bidders’ proposals as per the Project Manager request.
- The Group leader main duty is to monitor all work completed by his / her team members and provide them with technical supervision and backup.
- Under the direction of the H.O.D and the Project Manager, is responsible for the technical quality of the team operational output.
- Ensuring implementing that the Company Quality Standards, guidelines and plans are implemented properly, in addition to ensuring that all work assigned to his / her team members is completed properly, and meets the required specifications and standards.
- He / she should monitor and enhance his / her team members’ productivity. Also, should provide his / her team members’ with the technical assistance, support and guidance required to complete their work.
- Responsible for preparing the technical specifications for his / her team incase that his / her team members do not include a senior team member.
- In addition he / she is responsible for reviewing the prepared materials cost estimates and quantities by the quantity surveyors.
- He / she should assist the H.O.D with the annual performance review and rewards of his / her team members and in assigning jobs to them for development purposes.
- Coordinate with other disciplines’ Group Leaders among other groups that are directly related to the project, in addition to coordinating with clients and sub-consultants upon the request of the Project Manager.
- Coach Team Members and others to work together to meet defined objectives that achieve the goals.
- Directly affect and enable the development of architectural design, ensuring that the highest quality is at the core of the Department’s work.
- Establish and maintain positive communication and good relationships with other departments and team members
- Manage and direct the Team to ensure that corporate initiatives and Statutory Regulations are implemented and applied appropriately to the design and construction of buildings.
- Assist H.O.D for Allocating resources to projects.
- Manage and mentor project teams
Job Requirements
Education / Experience:
- B.Sc. In Engineering
- 8-13 years of experience in a relevant field.
