Job Description
- Design managers are in charge of design teams. They oversee the day-to-day operations in the design department.
- Design managers develop and implement successful design strategies, for new retail Business and Brand
- Ensure specification standard and process is to required level and meets required time deadlines, laid out in critical path
- Ensure all samples are ready for review in line with critical path
- Ensure option count guidelines are adhered to
- Design collections as required
- Develop a close relationship with the Sales, Marketing & Merchandise team
- Integrate and manage the design of additional brands as they enter the business portfolio
Job Requirements
- 10-15 years of Experience in Fashion
- Excellent communication skills - verbal, written to include report writing and group presentations.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Commercially strong with an excellent understanding of product values.
- Creative mind-set with a strong fashion sense.
- Collaborative player, concerned with team success as well as individual performance.
- Visible Leadership skills – can motivate others to achieve.
- Solution orientated.
- Must be able to use MS Office applications – Word, Outlook, and Excel to a competent standard
