Job Description
***Short term assignment till the end of 2020 (extension is subject to availability of funding)***
Responsibilities & Duties:
- To ensure that the project’s objectives are in line with the strategic vision of the organization.
- To direct, manage, and control the project’s workflow.
- To support the rollout and the implementation of the project’s activities in coordination with donor requirements.
- To participate in the recruitment and induction of the assigned project’s staff and volunteers (if needed).
- To prepare quarterly work plans with specific targets and results, and monitor implementation.
- To provide an overall analysis of the project activities and budget and make recommendations to review the scope of the program.
- To review in coordination with the assigned project’s team the activity work plan and the budget
- To identify and propose solutions to meet the support or training needs of team members.
- To support the quarterly reporting process (narrative, financial, report workbook) and ensure a timely delivery of the report.
- To attend the project’s coordination meetings and share updates as well as any meetings relevant to education and children as required.
- To make sure that all concerned parties from other departments are aligned with the Project goals and their role of contribution.
- To support in developing new opportunities for ERC.
- To contribute to a culture of safeguarding and protection from sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment.
- To undertake other duties as are reasonably required.
Job Requirements
Education
- Relevant university degree in fields of management, education, or any other relevant discipline.
- An advanced post-graduate degree is desirable
Work Experience
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in managing/coordinating multi-year projects.
- Demonstrated work experience in education issues is desirable.
- Experience in liaising and collaborating with different levels of stakeholders is an asset.
- Work experience with international organizations is encouraged.
- Experience in project planning, monitoring, and reporting.
- Experience in managing communication and advocacy activities is desirable.
