Job Description
- Responsible for his inpatients that will be treated under his /her supervision and assigning a covering physician in case of his absence
- Management and documentation of the Plan of care for all patients under his supervision
- Responsible for ensuring the completion and accuracy of the medical record for each of his/her patients focusing on the initial assessment, History and physical examination, provisional diagnosis, treatment plan in addition to revision of any senior registrar/ registrar/resident entries
- In case of referral, he/she is responsible for referring his/her patient(s) for consultation in another medical field according to condition
- Promotes patient and staff safety by adopting strictly the recommendations of infection control, health and safety guidelines, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Attending morning rounds within the department
- Actively participating in departmental activities as assigned to him through Head of Administration.
- Participates in the on-call duties as required by the department
- Collaborate in determining the professional activities within the department focusing on the quality of patient care rendered by members of the department
- Communicates with the department's head different activities whether work flow procedures, equipment availability, manpower needs or problems and its possible solutions
- To be in charge specifically for ventilator, circulatory fluid and nutritional therapy concerning the patient in ICU.
- To guide subordinates for the evaluation of possible patients who are candidates for ICU transfers.
- Carries out reviews and investigations on drugs, equipment, physiologic and pharmacological matters relevant to Intensive Care.
Job Requirements
- Physician is a must .
- PhD Degree in ICU and critical care is a must .
