Job Description
Job Summary:
Leads Technical Sector activities for mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, and architecture engineering to achieve company’s strategic and operational objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Participating in formulating strategies and objectives for the organization, as well as for the Technical Sector.
- Direct, plan, or implement policies, objectives, or activities of Technical Sector to ensure continuing operations, to maximize returns on investments, or to increase productivity.
- Direct or coordinate Technical Sector’s budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, or increase efficiency.
- Develop medium and short-term plans and projects to manage and achieve the anticipated goals and monitoring Technical Sector’s performance against pre-set performance goals and ensure that preventive/corrective actions are taken accordingly.
- Collaborate with other sectors to integrate Technical sector activities with company’s strategic direction.
- Analyze mechanical and electrical equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions.
- Analyze the replacement of spare parts and provide recommendations for heavy equipment renovation.
- Confer with Technical sector engineers to resolve malfunctions of heavy equipment or provide technical information.
- Research, design, and evaluate company’s equipment to meet operation requirements, and regularly interacts with the field to focus on continuous service and cost improvement.
- Oversea, plan, or implement design techniques, tools, and principles of construction plans, blueprints, drawings, and projects.
- Preparing periodic reports regarding Technical Sector’s activities and achievements to be submitted to the CEO.
Job Requirements
- Sc. in Engineering. MBA is a must.
- +20 years’ experience of working in heavy equipment in a large sized organization.
- Experience in the logistics field is a big plus.
- Proven working experience in at least 2 or 3 of the following engineering sectors is a must (Electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, civil engineering, construction engineering, and Project Management).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Arabic and English languages).
