- Reviews, administers, and manages purchase orders and delivery commitments to designated suppliers as necessary to support production and/or sales requirements within the business
- Ensures NDA, SOW's and Master Purchase Agreement are positioned appropriately before business is initiated
- Monitor supplier performance and act as a first point of contact during supply issues
- Analyze current spend and evaluate current suppliers.
- Create and submit purchase orders
- Manage respective supplier relationships and performance, including but not limited to dispute resolution
- Track component deliveries and escalate accordingly. Provide build forecasts to suppliers to ensure proper supply readiness
- Follow through to ensure on time delivery to support revenue / shipment plan
- Report on material readiness to support production demand with contract manufacturer
- Build and manage effective supplier relationships
- Resolution of shipment and invoice discrepancies
- Drive price negotiations processes to ensure that commodity pricing are best in class
- Drive continual cost reduction and avoidance initiatives through price negotiations
- Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies that deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers
- Evaluate and provide guidance on final selection of suppliers; Perform value analysis for final selection of suppliers
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or Engineering and/or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
- 4+ years’ experience as a purchasing specialist in a consumer or industrial environment
- You have strong organizational skills and project tracking abilities
- You have strong analytical/problem-solving skills and the ability to understand complex issues
- You have experience working with domestic & overseas manufacturers and supply chains
