Job Description

Sigma for Int’l supplies, Egypt’s leading steel importing company, has an open
vacancy for the position of “Assistant Operations Executive”.
The position’s key responsibilities include, but are not limited:

  • To report directly to Operations Executive and Business Development Executive.
  • To assist the Operations Executive and Business Development Executive in their day-to-day tasks.
  • To handle the operations starting from the receipt of inquiries to the execution of the order to execute customers’ full satisfaction.
  • Some of the duties to sources for best offers complying with the technical and commercial conditions of the customer.
  • To prepare the offers to be presented to the customer
  • To negotiate the offers presented to the customers in order to ‘close the deal.
  • To organize the order execution with the suppliers
  • To check and revise material production and readiness regularly with the supplier to ensure receipt of the material on time according to the commercial agreement.
  • To follow up Co-ordination with banks & internal financial department all commercial aspects through the execution of the order including: Letter of credits, Letter of guarantees, Inco terms, UCP 600.
  • To follow up with the suppliers, customers and shipping departments the receipt of all related documents in the agreed forms & conditions.
  • To develop and upgrade the suppliers Venders List.

Job Requirements

The Successful candidate should at least fulfill the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, commerce,
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)
  • Engineering background is an asset
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position (Steel Procurement
  • preferred).
  • Excellent English Language skills.
  • Excellent computer skills (outlook, word, excel, …..)
  • Highly developed negotiation skills
  • Highly developed communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Full working knowledge of L/C and banking procedures
  • Self motivated
  • Ability to work under full pressure
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Ambitious and results oriented.
  • Presentable
