Job Description
- As a Lead, you are responsible for managing a small team of developers, testers or engineers and drive delivery of a Java or Scala projects (Delivery/Maintenance/Testing).
- You are responsible for the functional/technical track of a project. Job requirements not limited to,
- Leading and mentoring developers.
- Contribute in all phases of the development life cycle.
- Design, build, test and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java/Scala code.
- Engage and coordinate with client’s teams in order to facilitate projects development, delivery, and support.
- Understanding business problems to ensure projects are leveraging the appropriate technology and analytical tools in the delivery of a comprehensive solution.
- Understand the business goals/needs while utilizing big data technology to ingest and analyze large amounts of data.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree with an emphasis on Computer Science or Engineering
- 7-10 years of Experience in developing Java or Scala solutions.
- Min. 2 years of working experience as a technical lead.
- Min. 3 years of experience working with relational databases and MPP
- Ability to think outside the box and understand the big picture thought process
- Ability to communicate clearly to business owners
- Working experience with Unix/Linux
- Big Data experience is a plus
- Data Mining/Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence experience a plus
- Object-Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
- Experience in developing standalone and web applications.
- Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies.
